The Sierras de Córdoba is a mountain chain that gave birth to a touristic region. In the northwest of the Córdoba province and just until the province of San Luis, this mountain range is dominated by the Champaquí at 2884m above sea level. The plains (pampas) and salt marshes (salinas) are formed between the mountains. Several hikes can be organised n these perfectly preserved vast lands.
For a half-day excursion, you can venture to the small town of Cumbre, known for its English colonial style architecture. The twisting road winding through the Punilla valley will reveal surprising landscapes.
